We were very excited about this breeding and to our disappointment we are facing two upcoming surgeries for two of our little angels. They are suspected to have PDA and will be going in for a consultation for surgery to correct this condition.  This has been heartbreaking for us as each of these little angels are very precious to us.  We will know more after they get to have their consultation with the cardiologist.   This surgery is costly This breeding will never be repeated as this litter has produced one water puppy and two with suspected PDA, ,pic will be up soon of her for a page on water puppies as I feel there is not enough easy access to this condition when researching this breed.  If I would have known more about this condition relating to this breed, there could have been a puppy saved at ER that dreaded night.  I would love to keep anyone else from going thru this pain.  Even the vet of 15 years had never seen a water puppy in person, we all stood their horrified at what we were seeing and yes she was alive.   As we discussed what we should do, as to try to figure out how to save her or to put her down, she took her last breath.  So that decision was not made by us.  Now we are faced with the decision of letting these two angels be put down or to come up with a way to give them the life they so deserve to have.  Of course I would never take a life of a puppy that their is a life saving surgery for that has been successful.    Water Puppy Page click here Surgery estimates have ranged $1300 - $1500 each and that does not include the Pre Surgery Consultation at $800.00.   OSU and UT Please remember these two babies in your prayers.  Our hearts are breaking for them.  I will not turn my back on a pup I brought into this world.  I will do everything in my power to get the surgeries done for these beautiful baby face angels.  Keep an eye on this page for updates, hopefully it will be good news.

Dont fall for the puppy pyramid scheme that many breeders are doing unless they are willing to take responsiblity of any health issues and expenses of the litter.   Protect yourself IF you are going to CO-Own a Bitch.  Make sure the contract SPELLS out exactly what is to be expected.  Do not walk into it with the idea of if something comes up from the breeding that someone else will share the burden. They won't they will just walk away with the healthy one and cash in profits on your loss. The real looser in these type contracts are the pups. Why should they be rewarded to walk away with a healthy puppy and you left with the sick ones and the vet bills?
